03 — Personal AI
A capable AI assistant of your own.
Personal AI becomes far more useful when it understands the right parts of your life—and far more important to design carefully when it does.
Maison IQ creates a managed personal assistant on dedicated hardware, connected only to the information and systems you choose. It helps with the home, planning, research, and household routines—and it solves the technical problems that would otherwise land on you.
Platforms we build on
Maison IQ uses a multitude of platforms and chooses among them for each home, based on the client's requirements, including how much runs locally. These are the ones we use most often, not the only ones.
01
Solves problems, not just questions.
Most people's digital lives run on technology no one fully explained to them. A laptop won't stay on the Wi-Fi. Photos are spread across three accounts. A TV or smart device stops working after an update. Finding the cause takes time, patience, and technical knowledge most people don't have to spare.
Your cable company supports the connection to your house. Tech companies support their own products. No one is responsible for how it all works together, so the problem stays with you.
Your personal AI fills that gap. Describe the problem in plain words. It looks into it, explains what it finds, and walks you through the fix, or makes the fix itself where you've allowed it to. When a problem needs hands-on work or expert judgment, Maison IQ takes over, and your assistant has already passed along what it found.
02
Gets better the longer you use it.
Learning is part of how a personal AI works. It remembers your preferences, your devices, how your home is set up, and what fixed a problem last time. Every request gives it more context for the next one.
That's also why it starts with a limited scope. Maison IQ reviews how it performs early on, adjusts it, and expands its responsibilities only as it earns them.
03
Connected with intention.
The objective is not an assistant with access to everything. It is an assistant with the right context and clearly defined responsibilities.
Together, we decide what it can see, what it can do, what requires confirmation, and what remains off limits. New capabilities are introduced deliberately rather than enabled by default.
04
Privacy-first, or fully private.
Privacy is a design choice, not a vague promise. Every Maison IQ assistant sits somewhere on a range, and you choose where.
Privacy-first, with frontier AI. The assistant uses leading cloud models for the most capable reasoning. It still runs on dedicated hardware in your home, connects only to the systems you choose, and keeps credentials carefully separated. We tell you plainly what is sent to the model provider.
Private AI. Local models run on hardware in your home, so your requests and personal information are processed there instead of being sent to an outside AI provider. Local models trade some capability for that privacy, and anything you connect to the internet, like email or web search, still reaches it.
Many homes land in between: private AI for personal information, frontier AI for the tasks that benefit from it.
We explain where information is processed, identify the tradeoffs, and help you choose the balance of privacy and capability that is right for your home. Not every function can remain local, and we will say so plainly.
05
Professionally managed.
Maison IQ installs, hardens, documents, updates, and supports the assistant over time. Access is scoped, consequential actions remain controlled, and the system is observed carefully before its responsibilities expand. When something is beyond what it should handle on its own, it hands off to Maison IQ.
Personal AI is offered as part of a Maison IQ-managed home technology and support relationship.
